What does it mean when your computer has a small power supply?

I am looking at buying a particular new desktop (preferably a hardcore gaming system with a fast processor and the latest graphics card).
However, this particular desktop is said to have a Power Supply of 475 watts, a "con" listed
It means that the power supply may or may not provide enough power to the computer. I use a 750 watt on my desktop.
